Name: Madara Mikejima Door: Door Pass - Dominant Canon: Ensemble Stars! Canon Point: Post-Aquarium Live Age: 18 Appearance: Big Boy History: tl;dr Madara Mikejima is some weird dude who suddenly shows up after the main story of the game, claiming to be the protagonist's (default name: Anzu) childhood friend. He is the only member of the solo cowboy-themed idol unit, MaM. He had been traveling abroad until recently, and since then has been running around the school causing trouble. Have a Wiki link. Timeline: PAST Reminiscence*Monochrome Checkmate SPRING Substories Purple Wisterias of May Runway Beasts SUMMER Concerto Shinsengumi Buddy Aquarium Personality: (-) Negative / (+) Positive (-) Madara Mikejima is the most annoying man in his universe. Absolutely massive both in physique and personality, he has zero concept of an indoor voice nor personal space. He has a habit of being incredibly physically affectionate, often lifting up people as if they were babies and/or hugging them with little provocation. He's also not afraid to call out to others very loudly, yelling their name at the top of his lungs and waving his arms wildly, no matter embarrassed his target gets. His energy is boundless, to the point that when there was a rare day he had nothing to do, he ended up just running aimlessly around the halls of the school to burn off his excess energy. Madara marches to the beat of his own drum, appearing just as fast as he disappears and is well-known at his school for randomly abducting students for purposes he never elaborates on until later. He appears to act on his own whims in the pursuit of fun, having somewhat of a fixation on festivals and referring to many things with festival-themed metaphors. True to his nickname "Mama," he likes to present himself as a source of care and warmth, and treats others in a friendly and polite manner. He's quick to lay earnest compliments onto others, and tends to offer a helping hand whenever he can, even right down to performing community service when he doesn't have to. (+) He highly cares for people he considers his friends, and his strong sense of loyalty makes him strive to preserve their happiness. However, it could be said that he can be too friendly and helpful, which make him come off as an invasive and overbearing busybody that meddles in other people's affairs. Indeed, (-) Madara is someone who never minds his own business, and is very well-aware when things aren't his business---He just doesn't care. Mama's gonna help the shit outta people whether they want it or not. His nearly infinite energy and complete disregard for boundaries has caused him to be considered annoying and weird, even by other students who are well-known for being annoying and weird, such as the Five Oddballs and Leo Tsukinaga. However, for the most part, this goofy personality and image is one Madara sets up on purpose to disarm others. In truth, he is rather calculating, always thinking far ahead about long-term causes and effects that his actions would bring, all disguised in a package of some whimsical idiot that leaps before he looks. He knows that many people view him as some wildcard that runs around in pursuit of fun with no regard for others, a never shies anyway from any potential backlash his actions may bring. He believes that being underestimated as an idiot will cause those around him to let down their guard, and thus make it easier for him to mold their mind and have them act according to his plans. Madara's idol persona, MaM, is based around a cowboy motif, and this theme reflects his sense of justice. Even though Madara's end goals and intentions are well-intentioned and noble---that being the protection of his friends and overthrowing the oppressive idol school system---his methods are anything but. (-) He takes a Machiavellian approach to doing what he thinks to be "right" and "just"---Madara would do whatever it takes, even if that means deceiving and manipulating others, or engaging in highly dubious methods, sometimes involving violence. When stating that he wouldn't mind committing abduction, passport forging, or even murder if it's for the sake of helping out a friend, said friend commented that it doesn't sound like a joke coming from him. While he acts in a friendly and polite manner to friend and foe alike, there is a highly noticeable amount of passive-aggressiveness towards those who he views as enemies. He is also rather shameless in expressing his dislike for others, blatantly threatening physical and social damage on people who he sees as a threat to his friends and allies. Even being threatened right back with the prospect of being recorded and reported doesn't deter him; he'll gladly repeat himself once more for the record. It's implied that there's an unsettling air around him at times, one student noting that he felt "killing intent" when Madara was sparring with the Karate Club's leader, and another student commenting that his name sounds a lot like the English word "murderer". Despite his off-putting behaviors, however, Madara does show some signs of remorse. He feels guilty about his failure to protect his friends from the conflicts that occurred in the previous year, and his main motivation for his actions is to atone for this. (Unfortunately, his idea of atonement is "make Eichi Tenshouin and his allies pay for what they did by all means necessary," but it's the thought that counts.) Upon being called out for it, he feels bad about tricking Anzu into believing they were childhood friends when in reality they just played a bit when they were children, and subsequently continues to keep up the charade to avoid hurting her. He also admits that his ability to be good at almost anything he learns makes him a bit alienated from others, and his overbearing personality that he uses to compensate for this just alienates him further, and that makes him quite lonely at times. However, he prefers that people hate him for being annoying rather than being talented. He also does not like being compared to others, being uncomfortable when such occurs. He also once mentioned that the reason he's so fixated on being a "Mama" is because it's something that is actually impossible for him to accomplish. Finally, while he admits he doesn't like being lonely, he also purposely creates emotional distance from everyone around him, believing he doesn't deserve love due to his failures and the methods he employs, and focuses on other people's happiness over his own. He's implied to have developed feelings for the protagonist, but instead of pursuing her, he hopes that she could find someone that can make her happy. Rather than constantly be by the side of his best friend, Leo Tsukinaga, he has Leo's unitmate Izumi Sena to do this for him, believing that the he would do better in looking out for him. Madara even outright states to a classmate that he doesn't believe he deserves to be loved by anyone. In short, Madara Mikejima is a wandering beefcastle that gives (almost) zero shits. Powers and Abilities: To summarize, this stupid kaiju bitch can do almost anything. Madara stands out for being a "Jack-of-All-Trades, Master-of-None" when it comes to skills. If he takes the time to learn it, and as long as it's possible for him to do it, Madara can become very well-versed in any skill, and in fact carries Many Licenses. However, while he can be considered "good" in almost any skill, he isn't always necessarily the best. These includes things like cooking, peddling, caring for dolphins, monkey training, blackmail, martial arts, extortion, smuggling, document forging, maintaining and riding motorcycles, cleaning... It would take far too much time to make an exhaustive list of what he can do, so his most prominent skills will be elaborated on: Being an idol, Madara is talented at singing and dancing. He's also well-versed in producing, able to plan and carry out the logistics needed for stage performances, to the point he sometimes subtly helps out the protagonist with her Producer duties. He can play different musical instruments with ease, such as the cello, piano, and violin. The one thing he is very exceptional at, as Captain of the Track Club, is running. Despite his hulking frame, Madara is an incredibly fast runner, and incidentally this makes him very difficult to chase or catch. He's also shown to be quite agile, able to land safely from jumping out of a second-story window by swinging on a tree branch with one hand. He is also shown to have above average strength, easily lifting up guys no matter their size, though there are a few who can easily take him down. And despite his rambunctious personality, Madara has mastered the art of stealth, and is very adept at concealing his presence and sneaking up on people. Due to this, it's a running gag that Madara gives the illusion that he randomly appears out of nowhere and spooks the other characters as a result. As someone who spent most of his time traveling the world, Madara easily adapts to other cultures and customs. He speaks multiple languages fluently, and surprisingly does not seem to have any lack of resources wherever he goes due to exceptional networking skills. Thankfully, despite frustratingly being able to do all this cool shit, he is still very much human and has the usual modern-day human limitations.
